Responsibilities
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the unit
Performs professional computer science work involved in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes
Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

This is a cybersecurity position within the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF); the employee will be fully qualified in accordance with DoDD 8140.01, DoDI 8140.02, and DoDM 8140.03
Failure to obtain and maintain proper DCWF foundational qualifications may result in removal from this position
The employee will be required to obtain and maintain IAM Level I certification to meet the DoD Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program baseline certification requirements in accordance with DoDD 8140.01, DoDI 8140.02, and DoDM 8140.03
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science
At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus
All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems
Specialized experience is experience in knowledge of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices and procedures
Knowledge of cyber resiliency, cyber mission thread analysis and software coding
You must submit a copy of your transcripts if qualifying on education
You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program
Preferred
Over 15 years of experience in designing, installing, maintaining, and sustaining large-scale network environments, including Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
Over 10 years of supervisory experience leading large teams of 15+ people, with a proven track record of effective team management and leadership
Over 5 years of experience in strategic planning, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, and successfully implementing those plans into operational reality, driving business growth and improvement
