Payroll Manager / Administrative Assistant
LONG ISLAND CONCRETE, INC. is seeking a contract based, on-site construction Payroll / Administrative Assistant to support a large-scale construction project for SpaceX. This role will manage payroll functions and provide essential administrative support to the project team.
Responsibilities
Overseeing weekly payroll processing, ensuring accurate employee compensation, managing garnishments, tax withholdings, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
Administrative tasks related to employee benefits, onboarding documentation, timekeeping, and record management
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in payroll administration within a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in Construction Payroll Administration and Payroll Management
Knowledge of managing Garnishments and Payroll Taxes
Experience with Employee Benefits administration and related processes
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with state and federal labor laws is a plus
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field preferred
