The role involves overseeing the month‑end close, preparing financial statements, and maintaining balance sheet integrity while mentoring staff and collaborating closely with the CFO.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Oversee all balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation and accuracy

Perform variance analysis and develop clear, meaningful commentary explaining material differences month over month

Review staff work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls

Mentor, coach, and develop a talented accounting team, providing guidance and structure to support their long‑term growth

Partner closely with the CFO on financial initiatives, projects, and process enhancements

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics (experience is a plus, not required)
