Responsibilities

Own the Close & Reporting
Lead and review the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close; ensure timely, accurate US GAAP financials
Serve as the final reviewer across the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key schedules before submission to the Controller
Maintain line‑item ownership and analytics for all major accounts (COGS, inventory, reserves, revenue, accruals, leases, etc.)
Manage and develop a team of 6 (Senior/Staff Accountants, AP/AR/GL), setting priorities, delegating effectively, and elevating performance standards
Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies; drive consistency in documentation and reconciliations
Coordinate external audits and support periodic reviews; ensure audit‑ready workpapers and evidence
Partner closely with FP&A on monthly variance analyses, budgeting/forecasting inputs, and executive-ready insights
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales on inventory, margins, and working capital; translate accounting outcomes into business actions

Required

CPA required
Deep experience in an inventory‑based company (distribution, wholesale, consumer goods, or manufacturing)
Proven people leadership of team(s) of similar size (≈6), with a coaching mindset and high EQ
Strong command of US GAAP, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and complete financial‑statement oversight
Advanced Excel and fluency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Exceptional communication skills and executive presence; comfortable engaging directly with senior leadership
