Trademark and IP protection strategy during pre-funding stages
Corporate structure, governance hygiene, and board readiness
Legal risk framing across product, data, and partnerships (mental health, education, tech)
Preparing the company for investor diligence without premature over-build
Advising founders on what is material now vs. post-funding
Qualification
Required
Experienced attorney who understands early startup constraints
Knowledge of deferred compensation structures
Understanding of how investors evaluate legal readiness
Trademark and IP protection strategy during pre-funding stages
Corporate structure, governance hygiene, and board readiness
Legal risk framing across product, data, and partnerships (mental health, education, tech)
Preparing the company for investor diligence without premature over-build
Advising founders on what is material now vs. post-funding
Comfortable advising early-stage startups without immediate cash compensation
Strong judgment around staged legal development and proportional risk
Able to communicate clearly with founders and investors
