Responsibilities
Process disbursements to clients: calculate payment amounts, generate payment files, execute ACH and wire transfers
Manage collections: reconcile expected versus actual amounts, generate client notifications, execute collection transactions
Investigate and resolve payment exceptions including ACH returns, NSF issues, and reconciliation discrepancies
Maintain accurate client account records and generate statements
Identify manual workflows and build automated solutions
Create reconciliation systems that match transactions across banking platforms, internal systems, and NetSuite
Automate client communications: payment notices, statements, and account updates
Build data pipelines that eliminate manual data entry between systems
Design scheduling and workflow logic for time-sensitive payment operations
Own payment-related data flows into and out of NetSuite
Manage integrations with banking and financial data platforms
Build dashboards and reporting for payment operations metrics
Maintain documentation for payment workflows and system architecture
Design workflows that scale with transaction volume
Create SOPs and runbooks for operational consistency
Build monitoring and alerting to catch issues early
Track and improve operational metrics: accuracy, processing time, exception rates
Qualification
Required
4-7 years in fintech operations, payment operations, or technical finance roles
Proficiency in Typescript or similar scripting language—you build solutions, not just specs
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and pipeline development
Hands-on experience with payment processing (ACH, wires) and bank integrations
Experience with financial data platforms (Plaid, Yodlee, or similar)
Familiarity with healthcare billing systems (Athena, ECW, etc) and medical reimbursement workflows
Working knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting systems
Track record of automating manual processes
Comfort building in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Preferred
Experience in factoring, accounts receivable financing, or healthcare payments
Familiarity with healthcare billing and reimbursement cycles
Experience with medical billing platforms or revenue cycle management
Understanding of NACHA rules and ACH compliance
Background at a high-growth fintech or payments company
