Sales & Design Consultant

Acquire4Hire is seeking a Sales & Design Consultant for Flooring America, a family-owned business with nearly 70 years of service in the community. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, building client relationships, and assisting clients with flooring design and selection.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and neat showroom
Provide outstanding customer service
Build strong client relationships and follow up with all new and existing clients
Schedule appointments to have client design consultations within the showroom or their home or workplace
Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
Gather space/area measurements, calculate the number of materials needed, create and present project proposals, and collect payments
Utilize social media platforms to build network
Manage time between the showroom and prospecting for new business
Sell flooring and floor care products
Answer customer questions
Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
Maintain showroom by keeping samples, displays, and common areas neat, current, and clean

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven work experience in retail sales, flooring sales, interior design, furniture sales, or similar role
Basic computer, social media, and math skills
Proper phone etiquette and positive attitude
Positive attitude and a strong desire to exceed expectations
Ability to utilize various forms of communication to follow up with vendors and clients
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong personal and professional judgement
Ability to respond quickly to client's needs and wants
Self-starter
Desire to grow a business
Excellent time management skills and detailed oriented
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

Preferred

College degree a plus, but not required
Microsoft Office or Google Workspace a plus
Flexible work hours to include Saturdays
