Saviance is seeking a Product Development Tech for their Brea, CA facility. This role involves completing routine technical tasks and developing solutions to routine technical problems while providing support to engineers and collaborating with the team on lab functions.

Responsibilities
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
Provides completion of technical tasks
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
Works with team to on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
Effectively documents and communicates test results
Handles test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing
Qualification
Required
Minimum education requirement is high school diploma
Experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 6 years
Experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in a technical area
At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory/R&D setting following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team
Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members
Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
Proficiency in personal computers
Ability to train lower-level technicians
