Responsibilities
Own day-to-day data operations, ensuring data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting systems run reliably and meet defined SLAs
Establish and manage operational processes for data ingestion, validation, monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis
Partner with Data Engineering to improve pipeline reliability, observability, and automation across batch and real-time workflows
Define and track data quality metrics, implementing controls and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues
Act as the primary point of coordination during data incidents, leading triage, communication, and post-incident reviews
Collaborate with Analytics and Business stakeholders to understand data dependencies, prioritize issues, and align on expectations
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for data operations and support workflows
Support data governance initiatives, including access management, data certification, lineage, and compliance processes
Identify opportunities to reduce operational toil through tooling, process improvements, and self-service enablement
Manage and develop a team of data operations analysts or engineers, fostering accountability and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, analytics operations, or related roles
Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics workflows
Experience managing production data systems and incident response processes
Proven ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and process-design skills in fast-paced environments
Preferred
Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms and modern data stacks
Familiarity with data quality, observability, and monitoring tools
Background working in SaaS, enterprise, or data-driven organizations
Experience managing or mentoring operations or data-focused teams
