Delgado Community College is a dynamic, open-admissions community college providing high-quality education. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill a full-time Administrative Coordinator 3 position to provide administrative and operational support for the Building Services/Grounds department.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Monitors expenditures and ensures adherence to budget commitments in accordance with established policies
Compiles and types special reports by selecting relevant information taken from special computing programs from a variety of sources, finance reports, personnel documents, multimedia correspondence, intranet files, and others
Represents supervisor in various matters, providing input, and possibly exercises signature authority
Independently composes and types correspondence involving complex, sensitive, budgetary and non-routine proprietary matters
Assesses importance of issues or conflicts, briefs supervisor involving facility safety, and public relations
May type and/or proof contracts, secure appropriate signatures, and track proprietary documents through the approval process
Serves as liaison between supervisors, vendors, faculty, students and staff members

Required

Two years of experience in administrative services
The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies
The ability to manage financial, physical, and contractual resources to ensure compliance and maximize business value
The ability to analyze information objectively, identify connections across sources, and form logical, well-supported conclusions
The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement
