Responsibilities
Executes switch/router changes and VLAN management; performs cabling certification; assists with firewall/VPN/IDS tasks; uses enterprise tools to resolve incidents and support modernization deployments
Qualification
Required
Protocol proficiency: TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, Spanning Tree variants
Hands-on configuration of switches/routers and WAPs; VLAN creation and management
Cabling certification and drop testing; OTDR familiarity
SolarWinds, Ansible, and ARMIS experience for monitoring and diagnostics
Support of firewall/VPN/IDS implementations and change requests
DoD 8140 – Network Operations Specialist (Intermediate level)
Security+
CCNA or equivalent
Bachelor's and 3 years; OR technical training and 5 years of directly related experience
