They are seeking an experienced freelance Illustrator to create original illustrations for deep tech clients, develop visual storytelling concepts, and manage brand illustration systems.

Responsibilities

Create Original Illustrations for Deep Tech Clients: Lead the creation of compelling illustrations for client campaigns across digital and print media. You'll develop visual concepts that capture the essence of breakthrough technologies, from biotech innovations to quantum computing systems, making complex ideas visually engaging and accessible

Visual Storytelling & Concept Development: Transform dense technical subject matter into clear, captivating imagery. Whether illustrating a scientific process, visualizing an abstract concept, or creating editorial illustrations for thought leadership content, your work will help audiences understand and get excited about technologies shaping the future

Brand Illustration & Visual Systems: Develop illustration styles and visual systems that align with client brand identities. You'll create icon sets, spot illustrations, and supporting graphics for websites, presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work directly with account teams to conceptualize and execute visual narratives. You'll present concepts to the HAUS team, incorporate feedback efficiently, and guide projects from initial sketches through final delivery, communicating your creative decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Creative Range & Adaptability: Shift between illustration styles and formats depending on client needs. One project might call for clean, vector iconography; another might require rich, editorial illustration. You're comfortable working across a range of visual approaches and can adapt your style to fit different brand aesthetics

Passion for Deep Tech: You must love deep tech and demonstrate genuine curiosity about the technologies our clients are building

Portfolio Excellence: Strong portfolio showcasing a range of illustration styles, conceptual thinking, and the ability to communicate complex ideas visually. We'll look for evidence of your ability to adapt your approach to different subject matter and brand contexts

Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or similar. You understand file preparation for both digital and print outputs

Visual Fundamentals: Strong command of composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Your work demonstrates an understanding of how illustration functions within larger design systems

Technical Communication Skills: You can take complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, engaging visuals that resonate with non-technical audiences while maintaining accuracy

Client Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to present work, articulate creative decisions, and navigate feedback from multiple stakeholders. Your professionalism builds client confidence in ambitious creative directions
