2026 Intern, Agentic Browser Research Engineer (Summer)
Samsung Research America (SRA) is focused on innovative web technologies, and they are seeking an intern to contribute to the development of agentic browser capabilities. The role involves creating prototypes, engaging in research activities, and evaluating AI model integrations for product direction.

Responsibilities
Work together with the engineering team to create quick prototypes and proof-of-concepts
Contribute to the research activities and patents for our team
Evaluate AI model integrations for given use-cases and make recommendation for product direction
Summarize your progress and solutions by the end of your internship
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
Practical experience with web agents - either a DOM based, or vision model based agentic loop interaction with web content
Demonstrated understanding of several Web or Computer-use agentic architectures alternatives currently commercially available
Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and DOM concepts
Familiarity with web scraping frameworks like Puppeteer and at least one front-end framework
Experience evaluating AI model, system performance and designing AI benchmarks
Preferred
Experience in reinforcement learning, reward modeling, verifiable rewards
Experience with MCP, tool calling and agentic skills integrations
On-device (edge) sLLM inference, on-device classifiers, model quantization for embedded devices
First- or co-authored publications on AI-Agent at leading workshops or conferences
