Responsibilities
Provide technical and product leadership for a portfolio of high-impact AI and data science initiatives focused on advisor experience, lead scoring, and sales effectiveness
Act as Product Owner for AI-driven products, working closely with business stakeholders to define needs, success metrics, and model requirements
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists across model development, training, testing, tuning, and deployment, ensuring best-in-class practices
Partner with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to productionize models and integrate AI solutions into advisor-facing platforms
Oversee model deployment using modern CI/CD and monitoring practices, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance
Identify opportunities where AI, ML, and GenAI can improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue outcomes
Communicate model design, performance, and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Manage external vendors supporting components of the data science and AI development lifecycle
Stay current on emerging AI technologies and guide the team in applying innovation responsibly and effectively
Work on complex, forward-looking initiatives where outcomes may influence future products, capabilities, and technology direction
Qualification
Required
Master's or Ph.D. in Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience with a focus on AI and machine learning
8–10 years of industry experience delivering advanced AI/ML, quantitative, and analytical solutions
Proven experience leading and mentoring data science teams, including planning, resourcing, and delivery
Strong ability to influence business stakeholders and drive adoption of AI/ML products
Experience working within agile development environments, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and product-oriented delivery
Solid understanding of business concepts and how AI solutions support strategic decision-making
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Strong understanding of machine learning theory and its practical application
Hands-on experience with traditional ML models (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, XGBoost)
Experience with Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude), including deployment and evaluation
Familiarity with RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, and Agentic AI concepts
Experience across the Model Development Life Cycle (MDLC)
CI/CD/CT pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees, or Harness
A/B testing and model performance monitoring
Experience with AWS SageMaker and emerging cloud-based AI infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
Data acquisition from APIs and SQL-based sources
Data transformation and analysis using Python and SQL
Analysis of structured and unstructured data to generate insights
Strong understanding of database concepts and cloud-based data environments
