Responsibilities
Complete month-end close activities accurately and according to department deadlines
Prepare and post journal entries
Supervise staff accountants including providing accounting guidance as required including fixed asset accounting
Record accruals, expense allocations, and month-end true-ups
Collect, analyze, and record data to general ledger system
Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents and related support
Work closely with internal and external departments to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and complete
Assist with the monthly reporting and variance analysis; review and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Participate in year-end audit to compile and prepare supporting schedules, work papers, and financial reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
4+ years of accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting financial information
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred
CPA candidate with successful passed exam parts or CPA certification (strongly preferred)
Experience with a company greater than $100m preferred
