Responsibilities
Develop, revise, and release shop drawings and 3D BIM models in Revit for fabrication and installation purposes
Examine project plans, specifications, and internal company standards to ensure all requirements are incorporated before issuing drawings
Collaborate closely with the construction services team to ensure drawings accurately reflect field conditions and installation requirements
Perform thorough self-reviews to verify accuracy, completeness, compliance with standards, and manufacturability
Coordinate with Master Planners, superintendents, VDC, and Construction Services teams to support value engineering and improve drawing clarity
Assist with select design components related to field installation
Conduct field measurements and surveys when required, particularly for renovation projects
Work independently with limited supervision while maintaining motivation and attention to detail
Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding workload, progress, and any issues impacting assigned tasks
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Autodesk Revit
Ability to manage workload independently while meeting tight schedules in a fast-paced environment
Capable of contributing to design reviews, proposing value engineering ideas, and enhancing overall project efficiency
Comfortable using company software systems, including Microsoft Office
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
Solid understanding of drafting standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative, self-driven, proactive, and customer-focused mindset
Demonstrated success working with multidisciplinary teams in a project-based environment
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Mechanically inclined with strong analytical capabilities
Preferred
Experience in BIM coordination preferred
Formal education or hands-on experience with Autodesk software is advantageous but not mandatory
Experience with Trimble products such as SysQue and Trimble Connect is advantageous but not mandatory
Willing to train candidates with strong field experience such as plumbers, pipefitters, or sheet metal mechanics
