Responsibilities
Develop and own the ecommerce and marketplace growth strategy across all brand sites and third-party marketplaces, including revenue, conversion, AOV, and retention targets
Manage key P&L drivers such as traffic, conversion, repeat purchase rate, marketplace fees, and contribution margin in collaboration with finance
Ensure that DTC and marketplace experiences communicate Oka Brands’ US manufacturing, sustainability, and quality story in ways that support conversion and loyalty
Oversee daily management of Shopify sites, including product setup, collections, navigation, merchandising, and core content modules
Optimize product detail pages, on-site search, and cross-sell/upsell tactics to improve conversion and increase average order value
Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and 1099 creatives to keep homepages, landing pages, and campaign hubs current, on-brand, and aligned with promotions and inventory realities
Own marketplace channel strategy (e.g., Amazon and other relevant marketplaces), including assortment planning, pricing, positioning, and promotional approach
Manage marketplace setup and operations end-to-end: product listings, images, copy, A+ content, keyword optimization, compliance with marketplace policies, and catalog accuracy
Coordinate inventory, pricing, and promotions with finance, operations, and the Marketing Manager to protect margins, avoid channel conflict, and maintain a healthy brand presence
Oversee marketplace advertising tools (e.g., sponsored products, display ads), working hands-on and/or with 1099 specialists to drive profitable growth
Monitor marketplace performance, ratings, and reviews, implementing improvements that enhance visibility, conversion, and brand reputation
Own performance marketing channels tied to ecommerce and marketplace revenue (Meta Ads, Google Ads, retargeting, marketplace ads), working directly in platforms and/or managing 1099 specialists
Set and manage ROAS, CAC, and payback-period targets across DTC and marketplaces, partnering with the Marketing Manager on budget allocation and scaling high-performing programs
Build and optimize email and SMS programs in Klaviyo (or similar), including flows, campaigns, segmentation, and testing focused on growth and retention
Build reporting frameworks and dashboards for ecommerce and marketplace performance (traffic, conversion, revenue, AOV, marketplace rankings and fees, cohort behavior)
Lead an ongoing testing roadmap (site UX tests, offer tests, creative variations, marketplace content experiments) to systematically improve performance
Provide regular, growth-focused performance updates and recommendations to the CEO and Marketing Manager, including insights by brand, channel, and marketplace
Partner with operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end customer experience from order placement to delivery and returns across DTC and marketplaces
Align closely with product and inventory teams so that site assortments, marketplace listings, and promotions reflect stock availability, lead times, and margin priorities
Own and refine the ecommerce tech stack and integrations, including catalog feeds for social commerce and marketplaces, and basic automations that support scale
Work hand-in-hand with the Marketing Manager so that campaigns are fully supported with optimized landing pages, promotional structures, and tracking across DTC and marketplaces
Support social and influencer initiatives by building trackable links, campaign-specific landing pages, social commerce catalogs, and clear measurement of traffic and revenue impact
Share performance learnings that inform creative, messaging, and channel mix decisions, creating a feedback loop between marketing strategy and real-time ecommerce data
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of hands-on ecommerce experience with direct ownership of DTC performance metrics in consumer products, footwear, apparel, or a related category
Strong experience managing Shopify sites, including merchandising, promotions, and basic configuration, plus familiarity with marketplace platforms
Demonstrated experience with performance marketing and analytics, including Meta Ads, Google Ads, and ecommerce reporting tools; marketplace ad experience a strong plus
Experience building and optimizing lifecycle marketing programs in Klaviyo or similar platforms
Comfortable working on-site in a small, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as a working manager who operates directly in tools and platforms and collaborates closely with 1099 partners
Excellent collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional partners
