Business Development Lead

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue in commercial and private sitework markets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company goals
Collaborate with leadership and estimating teams to ensure alignment
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and client meetings
Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to strengthen brand presence
Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, developers, contractors, and industry partners
Serve as the main contact for major clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business
Monitor industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform strategy
Provide regular market reports and forecasts for leadership
Work with internal teams (estimating, operations) to generate and qualify leads and support project pursuits
Manage business development budgets and resources
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and pipeline status

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction management, engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the construction, civil engineering, or materials industries
Strong understanding of commercial sitework, paving, or related services
Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-driven mindset
Familiarity with CRM systems and project management platforms
