This role supports the financial health of the business by ensuring timely and accurate billing, payment processing, and recordkeeping, with the potential for growth into managing one of the accounting books of business.

Responsibilities
Receive bills and match to existing purchase orders
Enter bills or charge backs into accounting system
Attain approvals to pay
Print and distribute checks on the 1st and the 15th or as needed for special occasions
New trade partner account setup
Maintain subcontractor insurance on file
Prepare audit files
File and scan documents as needed
Journal entries during month-end and reconciling accounts
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented
Highly organized
Tech-savvy
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Accounting entry-level bookkeeping
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to balance multiple projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluent in the English language
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Maintain regular and punctual attendance (on-site work)
Ability to work and complete difficult tasks under limited supervision
A team player
QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop (accounting for residential remodeling services and job costing)
Home Source Systems (accounting for product sales)
Preferred
Preferred accounting degree or 2 years of experience in bookkeeping
Bookkeeping experience (ideal) with focus on construction industry
