Start in 2026 SummerJack Link's Protein Snacks is a global leader in snacking and the No. 1 meat snack manufacturer worldwide. They are seeking a Cybersecurity Intern for Summer 2026, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, working closely with technology and business teams to ensure a secure environment. Responsibilities include analyzing the attack surface, reviewing security platforms, and presenting deliverables to business partners.

Gain an understanding of the entire Attack Surface
Gain understanding of MSFT O365 Security & Compliance Center and Azure Security Center
Gain understanding of Cybersecurity tools for vulnerability management, assessments, cyber awareness, and alerts
Gain Experience securing large production environments
Gain Experience with physical security controls
Gain Experience in documentation creation and policy enforcements
Gain Experience and understanding of IT/OT space and vendor maintenance
Develop skills required to analyze, operate, and maintain security posture
Attend meetings between business teams, IT Infrastructure, and help desk teams
Identify and define business questions and associated Cybersecurity needs
Partner with business team to create actionable Cybersecurity deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach
Present Cybersecurity deliverables to business partners for review and feedback
Final presentation to leadership team to recap experience
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
Completed at least two years of college coursework in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
Preferred
Junior or Senior Status in degree program
Vulnerability Management consoles and patching (Nessus, Microsoft, or similar platforms)
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for logging and monitoring (Microsoft Sentinel or similar platforms)
Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks; NIST, ISO, CIS, etc
Firewalls, Microsoft 365 and Azure
Knowledge of compliance and governance policies
Academic focus in Information Technology/Cybersecurity
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
Team player with a “can do” attitude
Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work with an iterative and incremental IT environment
Strong preference for candidates within a commutable distance to Minneapolis, MN
