Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist is an important individual contributor within the Marketing division. They support the manager/team in identified projects that often include multi-tasking various projects with the ability to anticipate and communicate needs of the project with the manager
The Marketing Specialist creates building blocks of NM’s marketing plans and, in doing so, learns fundamentals of strategic marketing
They are expected to be collaborative, results driven and deliver flawless execution of their projects
The Marketing Specialist supports the manager in the execution of assigned/identified projects:
Understands the scope and objectives of assigned projects and delivers against those objectives
Develops key elements of the marketing plan and/or the creation of marketing materials
Supports strong internal client relationships by understanding internal client needs, delivering high quality materials/plans, and effectively managing feedback
Support the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute with video production, visual communication, and social media initiatives for consumer and physician audiences
Plan, film, and edit videos for research activities, educational programs, social media, and marketing campaigns
Collaborate with clinical teams to capture surgical techniques, procedural demonstrations, case studies, and interviews
Design and produce visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for conferences, lectures, and meetings
Develop and implement social media strategies across BCVI reputation channels
Assist with social media planning and execution, including overseeing LinkedIn accounts for BCVI physician leaders
Work closely with marketing, research, education, and clinical teams to align video and presentation content with strategic goals
Attend conferences and events to capture video content and create assets for social media and promotional use

Required

Bachelor's degree or 4 years of comparable experience
An additional 2-3 years of experience in related field
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive and constructive attitude
Strong filming and camera operation experience (framing, lighting, audio)
Extensive video filming and editing experience, including short‑form content for social media
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and researchers
Familiarity with social media KPIs
Social media copywriting experience (AP style preferred)
Solid understanding of storytelling and script writing

Preferred

Understanding of healthcare industry and academic medical centers preferred
Agency or client-side healthcare marketing experience/internship
Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field
