HR Assistant
Labette Health is seeking an HR Assistant to support key HR functions. The role involves managing recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and promoting a positive employee experience throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment efforts including job postings, attending job fairs, candidate screening
Partner with local high schools and colleges to develop relationships for talent recruitment
Assist with new hire benefit enrollments and annual open enrollment processes
Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and assist with resolving issues
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits and payroll deductions
Administer employee leaves of absence including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave types
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital policies related to leave
Track and monitor licensure and certification requirements for hospital staff
Communicate with departments and individuals regarding upcoming renewals or lapses
Maintain records in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Assist in maintaining employee records and HRIS data integrity
Participate in employee relations efforts and support HR policies and procedures
Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee engagement
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in an HR role
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Preferred
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Familiarity with healthcare-related licensing and certification requirements
