Engineer - Stormwater & Water Resources

Responsibilities
Provides engineering design, management, and review of engineering plans, reports, specifications, and estimates related to both municipal and private stormwater and water resources projects
Performs hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling, and mapping using software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS tools
Coordinates and manages consultants for the development of engineering plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports
Coordinates the construction bid process, reviews bids and makes necessary recommendations based on lowest and best bids and competency of vendors/contractors
Oversee assigned projects to ensure consultant/contractor compliance with time and budget parameters
Assists in determining compliance with applicable stormwater and environmental requirements
Performs review of state and federal environmental regulations such as NPDES and UIC, best management practices (BMPs), or emerging trends in water resources
Floodplain management duties include coordinating and managing consultants for the development of floodplain and land use engineering plans, specifications, estimates, modeling, mapping, and technical reports
Performs hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, modeling, and mapping using software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D and SSA, and ArcGIS tools
Coordinate and associate with lead organizations that provides regulatory, technical and planning guidance such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Association of State Floodplain Managers, and the Washington State Department of Ecology
Provide engineering design, technical assistance, and regulatory compliance guidance to municipal projects providing stormwater collection, conveyance, water quality, UIC retrofit, and discharge facility improvements
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, modeling, and mapping using software such as ArcGIS, SWMM, AutoCad Civil 3D and SSA, StormShed, and other Rational Method tools, programs, and methodologies
Coordinate and manage consultants for the development of stormwater improvement projects including contract management, grant and funding management, schedule and budget management, review and approval of engineering plans
