US Crop Protection Regulatory Leader

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the development, communication, and implementation of US molecule regulatory strategies to obtain and maintain product registrations ensuring the company has the “right-to-sell” in the local market
Advise local product teams on regulatory strategy, contributing to the development and success of US business objectives
Maintain accountability for planning and management of the country regulatory budget for your molecules
Serve as a key advisor for development and implementation of country regulatory plans to the Global Regulatory Leader and Global/Regional Business teams
Develop an in-depth knowledge of Corteva products and their registration status
Maintain full awareness of molecule/product project plans and provide timely communication of regulatory milestones and issues to the Regulatory and Commercial teams
Provide individual and team leadership to ensure all regulatory submission packages for molecules or formulated products are complete and accurate and facilitate discussions with science teams (e.g., ESA, EDSP) as necessary
Mentor Science Subject Matter Experts, Regulatory Specialists, and Regulatory Analysts to create and carry out effective registration strategies for products
Represent Corteva in working with Federal and State regulatory authorities to support product registrations
Create and maintain positive relationships with key government representatives
Identify and address issues that could impact a registration prior to and post-approval
Develop a working relationship with Government Affairs to plan and execute advocacy strategies to enable successful registrations
Represent Corteva on industry matters through participation and leadership in task forces and working groups

Required

Minimum of a B.S. in science or engineering related discipline (organic chemistry, formulation chemistry, engineering, biochemistry, plant pathology, entomology, analytical chemistry, agronomy, toxicology, etc.)
At least six years of professional work experience in the agriculture industry with responsibilities closely tied to regulatory efforts

Preferred

Experience in US crop protection regulatory affairs and FIFRA pesticide law
M.S. or higher in science or engineering related discipline
Experience in crop protection regulatory sciences (risk assessment, environmental fate, etc)
