Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior lab personnel to refine research procedures and techniques
Conduct tests and procedures using laboratory equipment
Monitor and assist with purchasing laboratory supplies and materials
Perform literature reviews to support research activities
Analyze data, perform statistical calculations, and prepare summary reports
Maintain research animals, perform minor surgeries, and collect specimens for analysis
May assist less-experienced team members
Qualification
Required
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience)
Research Technician, I: Requires little to no related experience
Research Technician, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience
Research Technician, III: Requires 3+ years of related experience
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in complex lab techniques, equipment, and scientific terminology
Skilled in statistical analysis and report preparation
Strong communication and time management skills
Willingness to work with mice
Skills in liquid chromatography preferred
