Senior Electrical Engineer

Fluke Health Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in designing and developing advanced electrical systems for biomedical test equipment, radiation measurement, and dosimetry solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and development for new and existing complex electro mechanical products, from concept to mass production
Architect and implement complex analog and digital circuits for embedded systems or other electrical systems
Develop schematics, guide PCB layout, and oversee board bring-up, testing, and debugging
Perform design reviews, risk assessments, and trade-off analyses to optimize performance and reliability
Collaborate with mechanical and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
Author and maintain design documentation including schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and test protocols
Drive compliance with medical device standards (IEC60601-1, IEC61010, ISO13485, FDA 21 CFR 820)
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
Support manufacturing with test fixture design, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Engage with suppliers and external partners for component selection and design validation

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field
12+ years of experience in electrical/electronic product development, with multiple full life-cycle product launches
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, including power electronics, signal conditioning, and mixed-signal systems
Proficiency in high-speed PCB design, impedance control, and EMI/EMC compliance
Strong knowledge of embedded hardware platforms, microcontrollers, and SoCs
Experience with wireless communication technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE) and RF design principles
Familiarity with low-power design techniques for battery-operated devices
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
Proficiency in ECAD tools (Cadence, Allegro, Altium) and simulation tools (SPICE, LTspice)
Understanding of thermal management and electrical safety standards for medical devices
Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT)
Ability to develop hardware verification plans, automate tests using scripting languages (Python, MATLAB)
Knowledge of firmware-hardware integration, including board support packages and low-level drivers
Familiarity with compliance testing (EMC, safety certifications) and regulatory documentation

Preferred

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering
Experience in medical device development and compliance
Knowledge of risk management and design control processes for regulated environments
