Responsibilities
System Design: Designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems in a production environment
AI Implementation: Rapidly learning and applying new techniques in LLM development (fine-tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering)
Collaboration: Working across teams including product managers, medical writers, and customer success to translate requirements into technical solutions
Qualification
Required
3+ years in software development
Proficiency in building APIs from the ground up using modern Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, etc.)
Experience building GenAI applications
Complex prompt engineering
Data pipelines
Evaluation frameworks
RAG
Experience deploying/scaling containerized applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Building CI/CD pipelines
Ability to reason through ambiguous requirements
Execute quickly without extensive oversight
Preferred
Experience with Terraform or Pulumi
Secure coding practices from industries like fintech or life sciences
Experience with React development
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in life sciences or similar
