Clinical Data Analyst
HCA HealthONE, one of the largest healthcare systems in the Rocky Mountain region, is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst. This role involves developing and implementing clinical data management requirements, supporting data usage analysis, and creating reports related to surgical services.

Responsibilities
Support CDM data usage analysis, ad hoc reporting, report configuration, and report distribution throughout the organization
Create ad hoc and standard reports for the facilities and division on the operational and clinical aspects related to CDM for Surgical Services
Present and review data in the form of reports, dashboards and scorecards; and assist in defining and monitoring operation requirements defined in the CDM project
Train OR Analysts for chart validator, OR Module functionality, profile verification and billing reconciliation
Work under the supervision of the OR Business Manager to perform duties
Ensure a standardized and consistent approach relating to CDM participation and implementation of Data Governance, Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics
Act as the subject matter expert to assist in the development of the appropriate strategies, plans, tools and approaches to ensure successful implementation of BI reports, dashboards and scorecards
Think analytically and critically to lead reporting standardization and automating efforts
Present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data outputs
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to use data in improving usage and operational workflow
Provide complex data analysis, data mining, data science with ad hoc and operational reports as requested by Group, Division, and Corporate leaders
Demonstrated knowledge to understand CDM data in order to develop and design reports
Identify reporting needs to support usage goals throughout the Facility and Division
Obtain field feedback on usage activities to continuously improve CDM output
Use and support database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, applications, and workflow functions
Format, run, distribute, and interpret reports using the available tools
Provide in depth 'what if' analysis of data using available tools
Escalate to and collaborate with CDM Director on program issues and risks to identify solutions
Other duties assigned as necessary, to support CDM Information Integrity and clinical related processes
Demonstrated competence with patient care information systems including Meditech, and Microsoft Office programs
Understand pertinent Joint Commission, AORN, MQSA, HIPAA, Core Measures and ACR guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor Degree required
One to two years' experience in clinical application support
Experience with OR scheduling/documentation systems
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Knowledgeable about working with clinical data within a healthcare system
Ability to communicate and facilitate topics clearly and effectively across department lines; working inside peer groups and receiving guidance from supervisor
Works independently, receives minimal guidance and acts as a mentor and provides direction to colleagues with less experience
Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to assume leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery of patient care

Experience of 24 months Meditech Reporting
Licensing or credentials within specific clinical specialty preferred, if available
Detailed working knowledge of the health care industry including EHR strategies and applications, clinical workflow issues, regulatory compliance and federal mandates preferred
