New Grad, Entry LevelThe Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to provide support to the finance department. The role involves processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities
Enter accounts payable (A/P) invoices and cash disbursements into the accounting system accurately and in timely manner
Process weekly accounts payable payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of all invoices and reimbursements
Record daily cash receipts and reconcile as needed
Assist with month-end journal entries and closing activities
Serve as the primary contact for A/P and A/R inquiries, addressing questions and resolving discrepancies
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
Receive and process incoming mail (electronically or through designated office channels)
Prepare and complete check deposits (remotely via online banking platforms or courier services as assigned)
Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting team
Qualification
Required
An Associate of Arts degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Accounting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High-level knowledge of Excel
Experience with general ledger functions
Experience with month-end/year-end close process
Good verbal and written communication skills
Above average math skills
Ability to collect data and information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Attention to detail with a level of accuracy
Strong Excel skills
