They are seeking a Process Engineer II to drive improvements in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency in production operations, manage process-engineering projects, and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

Independently identifying and driving improvements in safety, quality, yield and efficiency in the production areas

Participating in cross-functional local and international teams for the on-going improvement of equipment and processes and other assignments

Acting as a technical expert for manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing, and R&D

Working with operators and supervisors to solve problems in the plant

Providing process engineering, project engineering, and project management for small capital projects, including leading the direction of other technical and contract personnel

Analyzing, identifying, designing and recommending process/equipment improvements and capabilities

Writing reports, and utilizing quality improvement tools, such as fishbone charts, histograms, affinity diagrams, etc

Required

Bachelor's degree in chemical or biochemical engineering and 3+ years of experience within a process-driven manufacturing environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to occasionally work weekends, on-call, and/or evening shifts

Ability to travel Internationally up to 5%

Ability to adhere to safety and hygiene requirements including but not limited to: GMP, PPE, allergens

Physical ability to work within the production facility including but not limited to: walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stretch, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs

Preferred

Experience with IT and automation implementations (PLCs and HMIs) in production-related areas

Lean & Six Sigma training or certification, with the ability to use Six Sigma methodologies, tools and statistical software

Knowledge of packaging processes, food or pharma hygienic, aseptic, and cGMP design, and CIP and SIP processes

Experience with frozen product handling, blending, and packaging
