Responsibilities

Assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits

Completing financial clearance functions

Completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service

Responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts

Greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters

Gathering information while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and documenting timely and accurately

Qualification

Patient Access experienceInsurance eligibility systemsMedical terminologyMedical billing codesEpic ApplicationsHealthcare AdministrationBusiness Administration

Preferred

Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration

3 years experience within Patient Access of Business office setting

Experience with insurance eligibility systems

3 years Utilization of medical terminology in job setting

Knowledge in medical billing codes

1 year knowledge of Epic Applications
