Service and Repair Technician

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assembly operations according to documented manufacturing procedures such as Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and work instructions
Must be able to read and interpret blueprint drawings, BOMs, wiring schematics, and associated procedures
Must be mechanically inclined and familiar with 'wrench' type work
Identify and correctly use various hand tools including but not limited to: Standard ratchets and wrenches, pipe and crescent wrenches, drills and impact drivers, pliers, vise-grips, and cutters
Troubleshoot customer’s equipment that comes in for repair. This includes but is not limited to electrical, hydraulic, and structural repairs
Be willing to travel within MN for on-site repairs as necessary
Self-inspect and evaluate the quality of products before forwarding to the next step in the fulfillment process •CRITICAL FOR SERICE AND REPAIR•
Other duties deemed necessary to support the Company's business operations, (ie. Final Assembly and/or other cross-trainable departments within the shop)
Perform work at or above pre-established performance objectives
Keep the work area clean and organized; follow 5S guidelines
Follow work direction and training provided by higher level personnel
Actively participate in the Company’s continuous improvement efforts by identifying and communicating basic process improvements
Ability to work well in a team environment
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks
Proven reliability -- attendance and punctuality!
Operation of equipment and machinery such as overhead cranes and/or forklifts (training provided)
Remaining alert to surroundings, specifically when operating equipment and/or machinery
Gripping with hands/fingers, reaching, fine dexterity and motor skills for efficient and regular use of basic hand and power tools and assembly/disassembly of component parts from used equipment
50 lbs max lifting requirement (cranes available for use for any lifting that exceeds 50 lbs)
Must be able to reason and partake in critical decision making
Attention to detail and concentration towards task at hand
Frequent bending/ twisting/ turning
Frequent and extended periods of standing required
