They are seeking a Manufacturing & Process Development Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in the design, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products.

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process development engineers, providing technical direction and career growth opportunities
Oversee the design, development, and validation of new manufacturing processes and technologies to improve production efficiency, product quality, and safety
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to support the launch of production-ready new products
Infuse strong DFM/DFA principles to ensure delivery of robust, efficient and cost-effective designs that are manufacturable at full scale
Champion a TEOA Lean culture within the daily workflow of MPDE NPD introduction
Establish and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams
Identify areas for process improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout all process development activities
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve milestones and deliverables
Stay current with emerging manufacturing technologies and trends, recommending adoption where beneficial
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Optical or related field)
10+ years of experience in manufacturing process development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
Proven expertise in process design, optimization, and validation within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with process automation, equipment selection, and implementation
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels including across remote dynamics
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, OSHA) applicable to manufacturing processes
Preferred
Master's degree
Experience in any of the following fields a plus: fiber optics, wire & cable, harness, relays, connector
