Responsibilities

Work with the latest audio-visual AI-powered tools and conceptualize approaches to measure their quality, utility, and safety
Work closely with audio researchers, model builders, evaluation engineers, and product managers to evaluate the latest audio & video model developments by leveraging both human perceptual experiments and automated metrics
Design and implement evaluation methodologies, metrics, and user studies for audio product features
Prepare and present reports and findings to cross-functional teams and to product leadership
Contribute to strategic product decisions
Independently design and run evaluation studies with human participants for each audio domain: speech, music, and SFX

Qualification

PhD in cognitive scienceAudio domainDesigning perception experimentsData analysis proficiencyCrowdsourcing experienceComfort with GenAI modelsComfort with PythonCommunication skillsCollaboration skills

Required

MSc or PhD in cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, or computer science
6+ years of relevant research experience (e.g., Postdoctoral experience or relevant industry experience)
Expertise in the audio domain (one or more of: speech, music, SFX)
Crowdsourcing or user study experience
Experience designing and running perception/psychophysics experiments
Proficiency in data analysis and applied stats
Comfort with Python and/or scripting languages
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Comfort with GenAI models
