Accounting Manager

Ohana AZ is seeking an Accounting Manager responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records. The role involves overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with opportunities for growth in cash flow management and budgeting.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, ACH, and check payments
Partner weekly with the CEO to review and prioritize payables
Review Ramp transactions to ensure compliance with assigned budgets
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Reconcile QuickBooks accounts monthly (bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts)
Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, KPIs, and filing systems
Ensure compliance with internal controls and sound accounting practices
Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash reconciliations
Provide financial reporting and insights to the CEO, including variances or issues
Identify discrepancies or trends in financial data and support resolution
Improve accounting processes and internal controls to increase efficiency and accuracy
Identify opportunities for improvement within QuickBooks and related financial systems
Support external partners, including tax preparers and banking partners
Assist with weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting
Support annual budget development and monitor actual vs. budget results
Provide financial analysis to support business growth and decision-making

Required

3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and monthly close
QuickBooks experience required
Understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to clearly explain financial information to non-finance leaders
Comfortable in a hands-on role within a growing organization
