Assistant Project Manager

All Campus Security (ACS) is seeking a motivated and driven Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This role offers a strong opportunity for long-term growth into a leadership position within the rapidly expanding security industry, where you will support senior leadership while gaining hands-on exposure to planning, scheduling, and coordinating large-scale security projects across a variety of environments.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing projects involving Video Surveillance, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Networking, Fiber Optics, and Fire Alarm Systems
Assist with client and contractor coordination under the guidance of experienced Senior Project Managers
Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and actively contribute to a strong safety culture
Identify and escalate safety concerns or risks immediately to senior team members
Coordinate with Purchasing, Field Operations, and Vendors to ensure materials and labor are available as needed
Conduct periodic site visits to support progress tracking and quality assurance
Maintain accurate project status reports and assist with tracking projects in Procore
Review and interpret progress drawings and bills of materials with mentoring support
Monitor and proactively manage service tickets, projects, and communications within GigWire, ACS’s project management and communication platform
Collaborate with General Contractors on larger projects under senior leadership guidance
Adapt to varying schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on project needs
Assist in sourcing, onboarding, evaluating, and training skilled contractors
Ensure contractor costs are accurately tracked and allocated to projects
May perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Demonstrated history of growth or upward mobility within previous roles
Interest and aptitude for leadership and management
Strong desire to learn project management skills and grow into a leadership role
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with comfort using spreadsheets and tracking data
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 required
Ability to read, or willingness to learn how to read, progress drawings, floor plans, and takeoffs
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

Hands-on experience in security integration or a related field strongly preferred (e.g., Video Surveillance, Access Control, Networking, or Low-Voltage Cabling)
Certifications on security platforms such as Milestone XProtect, Genetec, i-PRO, Open Options, Avigilon, Motorola, Verkada, Bosch, or similar
Knowledge of fire alarm deployment and applicable codes
Experience using Procore construction software
