This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL Server databases while ensuring their performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability
Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS or other tools
Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to design database solutions that meet business requirements
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices and standards
Monitor database performance and implement improvements
Participate in database design and architecture discussions
Provide support for production databases, including troubleshooting and on-call support
Document database structures, processes, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server development
Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning
Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server Agent
Solid understanding of database design principles and normalization
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Preferred
Expertise in cloud-based SQL solutions
Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
