Responsibilities
Design, build, and scale cloud-based data pipelines and platforms using Python and AWS
Take technical ownership of data engineering initiatives and platform architecture
Work with healthcare data standards and interoperability formats such as FHIR and HL7
Ensure data solutions comply with healthcare regulations and security standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2)
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams in an agile startup environment
Support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics use cases for healthcare applications
Contribute to best practices around data quality, reliability, security, and scalability
Qualification
Required
12+ years of overall experience in data engineering or related roles
Strong hands-on experience with Python and AWS
Proven experience working with healthcare data and healthcare IT systems
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2)
Experience with healthcare data formats and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, EMR systems)
Ability to work independently and take ownership in a startup environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience working in healthcare technology startups or high-growth environments
Exposure to large-scale data platforms and cloud-native architectures
Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance frameworks
