Graduate Intern - Medical Affairs & Value Statistics

Responsibilities

Support statistical programming and analysis for Medical Affairs and Value Statistics initiatives
Apply advanced statistical models (e.g., Linear Mixed Models, Generalized Estimating Equations) to analyze repeated-measures clinical trial data
Conduct hypothesis testing and moderator analyses to evaluate treatment effects and baseline covariates
Perform data wrangling and preparation, including reshaping datasets and addressing missing data in longitudinal studies
Create clear, intuitive data visualizations to communicate findings to non-statistical stakeholders
Assist with scientific communication, including abstract preparation and presentation of results, ensuring accurate and responsible interpretation of findings (including null or complex results)

Qualification

PhD in BiostatisticsRSAS proficiencyAdvanced ModelingData WranglingData VisualizationHypothesis TestingScientific CommunicationExperience in sleep medicinePeer-reviewed publication history

Required

PhD candidate (current enrollment) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field
Strong proficiency in R or SAS
Advanced Modeling: Apply models such as Linear Mixed Models (LMM) and Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) to analyze repeated-measures clinical data
Hypothesis Testing: Conduct moderator analyses to test if baseline characteristics or specific sleep timing influence treatment efficacy
Data Wrangling: Manage complex datasets, including reshaping data from wide to long formats and addressing missingness in longitudinal trials
Visualization: Create intuitive statistical graphics to clearly communicate findings to non-statistical stakeholders
Scientific Communication: Assist in drafting abstract submissions and presenting results, with a focus on maintaining scientific integrity when reporting null or complex findings

Preferred

Experience specifically related to sleep medicine or circadian rhythm data analysis
History of peer-reviewed publication or abstract submission to major medical congresses
