Senior Accountant, Revenue
Apex - Spacecraft Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Accountant focused on revenue accounting for complex satellite bus programs. This role involves accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, supporting month-end close activities, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement process improvements.

Responsibilities
Apply ASC 606 principles to recognize revenue from both hardware (point-in-time) and service/study contracts (percentage-of-completion)
Collaborate with Contracts, Sales, and Engineering teams to evaluate contract terms, milestones, and delivery conditions
Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferred revenue, unbilled AR, and contract asset rollforwards
Support month-end close with reconciliations for revenue, AR, WIP, and related accounts
Assist with documentation of revenue recognition policies and memos for audit support
Work cross-functionally to implement process improvements and data flows between ERP, CRM, and internal teams
Provide support for internal and external audit requests, including population pulls, samples, and narrative memos
Participate in, and lead, other projects and ad-hoc analyses across revenue and customer segments
Contribute to implementation of Campfire and Palantir-based ERP revenue workflows and controls (Contract to Cash process)
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Strong experience in contract accounting, including billing milestones, customer deliverables, and stand-alone selling prices of bundled goods and services
Experience recognizing revenue under both point-in-time and percentage-of-completion (POC) models, including deferred revenue and unbilled revenue accounts
Experience with GL close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Advanced Excel and working familiarity with systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience in aerospace, hardware, or manufacturing environments
Experience in government contracting, including sub-contract agreements
Prior exposure to audit support or pre-IPO environments
CPA license or progress toward certification
