Responsibilities

Proactively prospect, network, and secure new catering and event business, both on and off campus
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of clients through outreach, referrals, and community engagement
Partner with museum leadership and marketing to position LACMA as a premier destination for private events, galas, and high-profile gatherings
Create customized proposals, contracts, and event plans that reflect client vision and align with operational capabilities
Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of events ranging from VIP dinners to large outdoor galas
Represent Restaurant Associates and LACMA at industry and community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Forecast, track, and report on sales performance and revenue goals
Maintain a deep understanding of local market trends, competitor offerings, and new business opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field
5+ years of experience in event or catering sales, with a proven record of generating new business
Strong prospecting and negotiation skills; confident closer with a relationship-driven approach
Experience managing complex, high-value events in luxury, cultural, or destination venues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with polished client presentation style
Passion for hospitality, food, and creating extraordinary guest experiences
