Responsibilities

Serve as a working leader supervising the day-to-day operations of full-time, temporary and/or seasonal staff in the specialized care and maintenance of turf, trees, shrubs, grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment demanded by more complex park assignments

Required

Two years of experience in general maintenance of commercial grounds with some experience over sports complexes/ball fields or specialized horticulture park or related work environmental depending on departmental assignment

Due to the Senior Parks Caretaker position serving in both the Turf Management and Landscape/Forestry sections of Parks, candidate experience must be commensurate with current vacancy

Must take and pass, at minimum, the written portion of the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) exam (permit) within 90 days of hire

A class 'B' CDL, at minimum, must then be obtained within the probationary period

Some assignments require the driver to have the ability to operate a vehicle with airbrakes

Proof of United States Citizenship/Authorization to Work in the United States as established by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 is a condition of employment

Pre-employment drug testing is required
