Responsibilities

Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures. Experience with long span bridges is an asset

Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities, including ability to perform seismic analysis

Design of concrete and steel bridge structures

Develop designs, contract plans and specifications

Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production

Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs

Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications

Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation

Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers

Other assignments as needed

Qualification

Required

Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania

Bachelor's degree in civil / structural engineering required

Must have at least 15+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures

Project management experience is also required

Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs

Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations

Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions

High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way

Sound oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence

Preferred

Master's degree preferred

Experience with long span bridges is an asset

Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus

Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred
