The Sikh Coalition is the nation’s largest Sikh civil rights organization, dedicated to safeguarding the rights of all individuals while advancing justice for the Sikh community. They are seeking two law school students to serve as legal interns during the summer of 2026, where interns will gain hands-on experience in legal research and drafting legal documents while being involved in active legal matters.

Conducting legal research and drafting research memoranda, letters, and litigation related documents
Developing practical skills through direct involvement in active matters, including interviewing clients and witnesses, joining co-counsel strategy meetings, and helping prepare for and observing pre-trial and trial procedures

Ability to interview clients and witnesses
Ability to join co-counsel strategy meetings
Ability to help prepare for and observe pre-trial and trial procedures
Exposure to federal and state anti-discrimination and religious rights laws
Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 consecutive weeks during the summer
Must have own laptop
