Satellite Ground Terminal Operator

They are seeking a cleared Satellite Ground Terminal Operator to support 24x7 operations and management for a system of satellite Command & Control antennas, ensuring proper network capability and coordinating with satellite owner/operators.

Responsibilities

Supports 24x7 operations and management for a system of satellite Command & Control (C2) antennas
Coordinates with satellite owner/operators to provide real-time operational status reporting and, resolve issues, and support anomaly resolution activities
Establishes and maintains an up-to-date and complete picture of activities to include satellite command and control operations, schedules, system status, and system availability Detects, records, and supports the isolation of system failures
Ensures proper network capability via secure data transmission services
Coordinates factory support, recurring maintenance, and compliance inspections
Expert level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts
Working under only general direction, provides technical monitoring to a wide range of difficult problems
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions

Required

Bachelor's Degree and two or more years of experience, in lieu of degree High School diploma, six or more years of experience
Position requires a TS/SCI with poly. Ability to sit for the poly and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request
One (1) or more years of crew experience in an operational environment (Space, DoD, Intel, Operations Center Crew experience is highly desired)
Knowledge of Space Domain Operations
Willingness to work non-standard work hours based on mission requirements

Preferred

Active TS/SCI with Poly
Experience as a Satellite Controller or Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician
Understanding Radio Frequency fundamentals
Satellite C2 operations experience with operating satellite ground terminals /antennas
CompTIA Security+ certification
Experience using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation
Excellent communication skills
