Cybersecurity Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

Support FedRAMP, RMF, and government security compliance efforts across cloud and enterprise environments
Interpret security controls (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP baselines) and translate them into practical technical implementations
Contribute to and maintain system security artifacts, including:
System Security Plans (SSPs)
Control implementation narratives
Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
Security architecture diagrams
Support ATO, reauthorization, and continuous monitoring activities
Apply best-practice cybersecurity and threat-based cybersecurity frameworks while staying current with emerging threats and industry trends
Develop complex technical solutions for large, strategic proposal efforts
Design secure solution architectures for government customers, including:
Cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, GCP)
Hybrid and on-premises environments
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and delivery teams to ensure security is integrated into system design
Provide security guidance during system design, modernization, and transition-in efforts
Apply knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Develop complex technical solutions, level-of-effort (LOE) estimates, and system architecture diagrams for large strategic initiatives
Develop or maintain scripts or automation to support:
Compliance evidence collection
Security control validation
Configuration baselines
Leverage tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native security and monitoring services
Identify opportunities to reduce manual compliance effort through automation
Support solutioning and proposal development by:
Defining secure technical approaches
Writing security and compliance sections
Developing solution architectures and diagrams
Participate in capture reviews and technical discussions as a cybersecurity subject-matter expert
Ensure proposed solutions are realistic, compliant, and executable

Required

Experience supporting FedRAMP, RMF, and government cybersecurity compliance initiatives
Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and federal security frameworks
Experience developing SSPs, POA&Ms, and other cybersecurity documentation
Experience designing secure architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
Knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Certification: CISSP (ISC²) or CASP+ (CompTIA)
Secret Clearance Required to Start

Preferred

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
Azure Solutions Architect
Certified CMMC Professional (CCP)
Experience working in ServiceNow, ITSM, or enterprise service environments
2+ years of experience performing data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining using statistical and general-purpose programming languages, with the ability to analyze both structured and unstructured data sources. Experience with SQL and relational databases
