Lead Engineer - Controls Engineering
GE Vernova Wind is focused on providing cleaner power solutions and is seeking a Lead Wind Turbine Controls Engineer to join their Turbine Functionality team. The role involves developing controls software for wind turbine systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the reliability and performance of control components.

Responsibilities
Gather and refine software-level requirements and implement wind turbine control software in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and translate findings into robust, testable requirements for wind turbine software features and components
Develop, maintain, and execute test cases for new and existing wind turbine control features to ensure performance, reliability, and safety
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive engineering documentation for control algorithms, system behavior, interfaces, and design decisions
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective and preventive actions, ensuring world-class quality and reliability of core control components and alarm functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Engineering or similar discipline
3+ years of experience in software development relevant to wind turbine control system design
Proficient in Matlab Simulink
Preferred
Master of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges
Strong wind turbine controls system expertise
Self-starter, who delivers results with minimal supervision
Proven ability to work effectively with international teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience with GE internal tools such as WorkstationsST, ToolboxST and M6e
