Start in 2026 SpringCarpenter Co. is seeking a Research and Development summer intern at their Reinhart Technical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The intern will evaluate, refine, and standardize laboratory quality test procedures while conducting basic lab experiments under the guidance of a senior mentor.

Research the modeling of FT-NIR spectra for measurement of polyol properties
Collect / Record / Report data
Interpret data and draw conclusions
Document findings in report format
Qualification
Required
Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent
Completion of 2 years of college or university in Data Analytics, Data Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum 2.75 GPA
Completion of 2 semesters of college laboratory curriculum
Able to perform rudimentary chemical lab experiments under management and safety direction
Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Office suite
Good written and oral communication skills
