AI Engineer Intern – Machine Learning Operations (Summer 2026)
Exact Sciences is dedicated to changing how the world prevents and treats cancer. The AI Engineer Intern – MLOps will focus on operationalizing machine learning workflows, including model deployment and monitoring, while supporting the development of AI/ML systems.

Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain MLOps systems for AI/ML projects
Support containerization and deployment of AI/ML workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
Design and implement evaluation/testing frameworks for AI/ML workloads
Assist in monitoring, logging, and maintaining AI/ML systems in production
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve system reliability
Display effective teamwork and communication in collaborative settings
Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization
Qualification
Required
Master's or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
Strong proficiency in Python and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, and Databricks
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred
Experience with monitoring frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana)
Exposure to distributed computing or big data frameworks (Spark)
Experience with agentic frameworks (Pydantic AI, LangGraph, CrewAI)
Experience with RAG architectures (vector database, search)
