Responsibilities
Prepare and process bills from purchase orders and other approved bills
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Charges expenses to accounts, cost centers and locations by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
Maintains accounts payable files
1099 preparation
Special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
2-5 years' experience general ledger
2-3 years' experience MS Excel and Word
3 years' experience QuickBooks and/or NetSuite
Preferred
Accounting/Business Degree
